This project aimed to inform the Rural
Economy and Land Use (RELU) programme by setting a range of key questions concerning
the transfer of knowledge of agricultural research and practice in Europe and
developing areas to the UK case.
The main project output was a 2-day
workshop which was held in February 2005, to stimulate dialogue between researchers
and practitioners in the UK, Europe and developing areas.
This research
is conducted as part of the Research Councils' Rural Economy and Land Use Programme
(project: RES 224-25-0113). RELU is funded jointly by the Economic and Social
Research Council, the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council and
the Natural Environment Research Council, with additional funding from the Department
for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Scottish Executive Environment
and Rural Affairs Department.
